Simple who we are is a manufacture of stylish sunglasses, blue-light blocking glasses and watches from sustainable materials including recycled plastic and wood! The Items we use would otherwise go to landfill or end up in our oceans. These materials get reused and reimagined into Crann’s sunglasses, blue light blocking glasses and watch collection.
The entire product range is an ode to Irish culture and traditions. Crann is the Irish word for tree and so each product carries a unique Irish name that holds a personal significance to Crann team! We are a family run business who our so proud of being Irish and nature nuts! Our 2020 Spring/Summer collection was named after the beaches we spent our summer holidays.
My names Eoin, from Co. Meath, Ireland, I started Crann in 2018 and wanted to introduce eco-friendly products to a large demographic of Irish consumers. I believe that by recycling materials can reduce the consumption of new waste materials, reduce energy usage and ultimately reduce pollution. Quality and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. We create sleek and minimalistic sunglasses, blue light blocking glasses and wrist watches yet we want sustainable and eco-friendly products to be affordable. Customers can make a style statement without breaking the bank or our planet.
Along with myself Crann is run by my Mam (Lorna) & Sister (Alana) who honestly make the business what it is today!
Crann by name, Crann by nature. Crann wants to help preserve native Irish woodlands so a percentage from every sale goes to the Native Woodland Trust, an organisation doing incredible work to preserve and renew Ireland’s precious natural woodlands. The Native Woodland Trust plant new native seeds in an endeavour to help rebuild damaged ecosystems.
We are sustainable by nature so with every purchase of Crann products we give a donation to the Native Woodland Trust, who are dedicated to the preservation of Ireland's remaining ancient woodlands.
“We’re 100% Irish owned and operated and I’m proud to say our headquarters are based in Clonalvy, Co. Meath,” says Eoin.
We work closely with a number of ethical manufacturers in South East Asia. Crann ensures the Crann supply chain is safe and employees are paid fairly, work legal working hours and Crann provides equal working opportunities.
